et us sit or kneel as we are able… Creator who brooded over the waters and set the boundaries of the sea…you called forth green growing things and provided breath and bone to the ancestors of all who live…

Incarnate Word – our Mother’s milk, true bread of heaven, fullness of God, you fill our lives…

Spirit of Wisdom you dance before us with holy laughter…you birth us out of the water of baptism and place us in the arms of the Church…

God thrice holy, perfect in unity, receive our prayers for the Church, the world, and all who are in need. Lord in your mercy:

Let us pray for the vitality of the Church:
Grant us grace to rest in you, and honor the Sabbath with the same love you have shown us. Help us to speak your truth in the world, and to be freed by it. Bless the work we do in the Urban Cluster to proclaim your kingdom, and make us whole. Lord In your mercy:

Let us pray for hope in the world:

Grant us grace to pour out our lives in love. Guide our care for the world you created out of love, and for the lives of all things, which you hold precious. Open our eyes to the things that bind our neighbors and help us to release them in your name. We pray for relief for all who suffer as a result of floods and landslides, fire and storm, war and famine. Use us as instruments of your shalom. Lord in your mercy:

Let us pray for our mission and ministry:

Grant us grace to declare your will for wholeness in Swillburg, the Highland Park, South Wedge, Mount Hope and upper Monroe neighborhoods. Be present in our planning for Sunday School and Church dinners, Cluster events and outreach to all who are in need. Touch our worship with your Spirit, and move us to a closer walk with you. Lord in your mercy:

Let us pray in thanksgiving for the good gifts of God:

Blessed are you, O Lord our God, Sovereign of the universe! On the seventh day you rested, and in wisdom give us the commandment to cease from our labors, and enter your presence. We praise you for moments of unplanned leisure, and true rest. We thank you for beaches and forests, mountains and caves - for all the places that reflect your glory, and the life that fills them. Bless we the Lord!

Gracious and loving Father, we place all things in your care and keeping, trusting in your promise through Jesus Christ, our savior and brother who lives and reigns with you and the Spirit, one God now and forever. AMEN
