In good Lutheran fashion, let us ask "What does this mean?

It means work. Not necessarily the nine to five work of a job or profession. Vocation is that work to which we are called by our baptism. It is our proclamation of who we are in Christ in our day to day endeavors.

Welcome to Peace Church! Our presence on the World Wide Web is an extension of the ministry we carry out from our little church on the corner of Caroline and Mount Vernon in the city of Rochester, NY. Our purpose is to offer hope and healing to all who seek it, through prayer and a deeper understanding of God's will as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

We thank and praise God for Bishop Marie Jerge, who on Monday June 9th was elected to a second six year term as Bishop of the Upstate New York Synod. Our prayers attend Bishop Jerge, and all the delegates to the Synod Assembly as it continues at the Riverside Convention Center in Rochester.
