In good Lutheran fashion, let us ask "What does this mean?

Advent means coming. During the four weeks before the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord - also known as Christmas, we make preparation for the coming of God - as a baby in Bethlehem, in our lives in acts of charity and love, and at the end of time, when he will return to judge all people, and make all things new.

Welcome to Peace Church! Our presence on the World Wide Web is an extension of the ministry we carry out from our little church on the corner of Caroline and Mount Vernon in the city of Rochester, NY. Our purpose is to offer hope and healing to all who seek it, through prayer and a deeper understanding of God's will as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

During Advent, we're moving our weekly Bible Study out into the world. Join us Wednesday's for Theology on Tap. We meet at the Tap and Mallet on Gregory Street. The menu is great, as are the discussions! Come for food, drink and fellowship!
